We have the stable release of Iceweasel from Debian both for amd64 and i386 after the release of Debian etch which recently happened on April 8th, 2007. Instead of giving a script to install Iceweasel 2.0 this time I thought I can give the actual .deb file changed to suit the needs of Ubuntu users :) You can download the Iceweasel .deb files for your architecture from the following links: iceweasel_2.0.0.3-1_amd64.deb iceweasel_2.0.0.3-1_i386.deb Steps to install: 1) Download the .deb file for your architecture from above location 2) Run the following command

   sudo dpkg -i --force-confold iceweasel_2.0.0.3-1_amd64.deb

   or

   sudo dpkg -i --force-confold iceweasel_2.0.0.3-1_i386.deb
Thats it you have Iceweasel 2.0 in your ubuntu machine :) Q: What urges me to do this? A: Iceweasel is compiled with Indic fonts support, hence we can view tamil fonts clearly in this browser. I dont know why this feature is missing in Ubuntu's default firefox.
